Compensan la\u00a0presi\u00f3n atmosf\u00e9rica\u00a0mediante un\u00a0sensor de presi\u00f3n absoluta\u00a0adicional estanco al agua con\u00a0membrana de separaci\u00f3n de acero. Al contrario de lo que sucede en los sistemas de presi\u00f3n relativa con tubo capilar, este sistema es completamente insensible a la humedad y por tanto se puede sumergir. Gracias a la larga vida \u00fatil de la bater\u00eda, los resultados de medici\u00f3n pueden registrarse durante a\u00f1os (hasta diez a\u00f1os si se realiza una medici\u00f3n cada hora).
